Wardmans Architectural Services were instructed to apply for listed building consent to a Grade II Listed residential dwelling near Leyburn. The works consisted of forming a new large opening between the existing ground floor study and drawing room, forming a new opening and doorway between a first floor bedroom and study with the study being converted into an en-suite, and renewal of an existing first floor en-suite.

While the works to the existing en-suite were being carried out, wet rot was found within the existing floor boards underneath the existing shower. Luckily, this damage had been caught early enough, and some of the existing timbers were removed and replaced, and the remaining timbers treated.

The works are now completed and Wardman's Architectural Services has been instructed to apply for another listed building consent for the property to repair and replace some external natural stone lintels and sills which have decayed drastically over time due to weather erosion.
